From the book
...At this point we should define Mušič's architecture in the most general strokes. As a renown Slovene poet would put it Marko Mušič is an architect, to whom the whole wide world sings. He is the only one amongst us who, in his work, combines the underground and the heavens, an architect that therefore constantly re-establishes the universe itself. Therefore we can always find underground storeys in his architectures and at the same time his architectures continue into the universe.
Another characteristic is linked to these characteristics: Mušič's architecture constantly veers towards a sign character, therefore it is constantly changing into symbols. With these two characteristics the opus of our architect is without comparison in Slovene architecture of the last few decades and transcends the national boarders with great ease. Therefore it is no coincidence that during the period of former Yugoslavia he worked more on the Yugoslav market than on the Slovene one. Another circumstance is linked to both of the aforementioned characteristics - he likes to work on a large scale. This fact also suited the mentality of the former Yugoslav area. Not only the mentality, the material background also contributed to the establishment of Marko Mušič in the south. A material background which enabled and dictated larger and large architectures, which were not possible in Slovenia.
