Julij Betetto Monument, Ljubljana projekt in realizacija / project and realization 1990-1991 Obeležje je postavljeno ob severni fasadi ljubljanske opere, kjer nadaljuje uresničevanje zamisli, da bi ob obeh bočnih fasadah in v nadaljevanju že obstoječih spomenikov igralcema Borštniku in Verovšku postopno postavljali spominska obeležja. Spomenik je nenavadno oblikovan, saj se zdi, da usločena kamnita streha, ki povzema ločne motive operne fasade, visi v zraku. Podnožje je prispodoba glasbila, iz katerega se izvija podstavek portreta, ki ga je izdelal kipar Stojan Batič in po bronastem odlitku izklesal kipar Julijan Renko. Ob nedavni preureditvi in dograditvi operne hiše je spomenik izgubil žlahtni zaslon; sklenjeni, sicer spomeniško zaščiteni stoletni nasad črne tise, zasajen ob dograditvi operne hiše ob koncu 19. stoletja. The monument is located at the North facade of the Ljubljana opera house, where it continues with the idea that memorial markings should gradually be set along both side facades, and thus continue from the already existing statues of actors Borštnik and Verovšek. The monument is unusually designed because of the image that the roof stands independently in the air. The pedestal is a metaphor of a musical instrument with the portrait of the famous singer, the work of the academy sculptor Stojan Batič that the academy sculptor Julijan Renko transformed into stone from a bronze cast. Unfortunately in the recent renovation of the opera house the monument lost its precious background. The concluded grove of the protected black yew tree from the time when the opera house was completed at the end of the 19th Century.
